Supporting Hunger Relief Across Idaho: The 2024 Idaho Food Bank Fund

This year, The Idaho Food Bank Fund awarded $178,718 in grants to  2 hunger-relief organizations statewide. Grants are being used to purchase and transport food, establish infrastructure such as shelving and increased refrigerator capacity, and support and improve programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of Idahoans in need.

The Idaho Food Bank Fund was established in 2009 to provide critical funding to nonprofits that help fight hunger in communities throughout Idaho. Managed through a partnership between The Idaho Foodbank and Catholic Charities of Idaho, the fund supports hunger-relief programs by awarding grants to organizations that provide direct food assistance and related services.

The Idaho Food Bank Fund is sustained through voluntary donations made by Idaho taxpayers who designate a portion of their state tax refund to support hunger relief. Each year, this generosity translates into much-needed resources for local organizations working on the frontlines of food insecurity.

As we look ahead to the next tax season, we encourage you to consider donating to the Idaho Food Bank Fund. Your contribution—whether large or small—helps ensure that nonprofits across the state can continue their vital work. Together, we can build a stronger, more food-secure Idaho.
