Four groups in the Magic Valley benefit from Food Bank grant
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (KMVT-TV)
The Idaho food bank fund just gave out its grants for the year. Four groups in the Magic Valley were recipients. The St. Jerome’s food pantry and Salvation Army are two of the groups who received grants from the Idaho food bank. The money will be used for needed items other than food. The Salvation Army will put the money in their delivery truck. Nickie Krosese the business manager for Salvation Army said, “We couldn’t live without this truck.” It’s used to pickup and deliver food around the area. The lack of a lift at the back slows down the process. Krosese said, “That time could be used actually getting it out to people, so we’re trying to cut that time period so that we have a better opportunity to get the food out to the people who really need it.”
